Opening roll using a baffle box.

I have never seen described the following method for starting a game with a baffle box, but it seems most logical to me.

1. Clear both dice from the playing surface.

2. The player to the right of the baffle box goes first. He picks up one die and rolls it through the box. He announces the value that was rolled and moves die to the other side of the board.

3. Now the other player picks up the remaining die and rolls it through the box.

I like this because both players get to roll their own die. Each die is on the side of the board to the right of the player who rolled it (just as with a non-baffle-box start), so it is easy to tell who won the opening roll.
