That's a good observation. Formally,
250 = two hundred five ten
205 = two hundred zero five"Two hundred five" is a colloquial abbreviation for the former rather than the latter. Similarly, "two dollar five" is a colloquial abbreviation for $2.50. Since it's a colloquialism, I wouldn't call it an irregularity exactly, but it's certainly confusing for a learner.
