Yes, John, this does seem too simple. Nevertheless, I will ignore QF, and take my chances with the only play I would give serious consideration to OTB.

U (Up) = bar/21*/20.

Making the 9pt does not seem as good as hitting. Lifting from the 9pt seems too conservative. I like having a blot there. Playing 24/23 after hitting gives the opponent an attacking 6, while—at the same time—it primes the checker that was moved.

So, now it's time to get dinged!
