Trying to open XG Opening Book

This is a binary file. The interface schema has been published but surprisingly no one has published a reader in the public domain.

I think Michael Petch has some Java/Python code developed and if you do a search you can find it.

A nice little android app could be written for this purpose and put up on the play store. :) It might sell 50 or 60 copies
