In listing the people I am in awe of, I failed to list three more people I have come to have great respect for relative to their thinking about the game, their mathematical skills, and just general respect for them:

Perry Gartner, Mike Svobodny, and Joe Russell.

I have been most privileged to spend time discussing backgammon with all three of them recently and I add them to my list as having great minds that can deal with the complex mathematical issues we mere mortals can only hope to vaguely comprehend.

I am sure there are others...probably most of the great players in the world including Falafel and Akiko and Michy, of course, but I am simply sharing who I have had the most personal discussions with in the past few years, and they have all taught me a lot and it's nice to have a forum like this to recognize greatness and thank them.
