I'm all in with you on clocks, and this might be quibbling a bit (and if it is, perhaps I'm not the first person on this forum to quibble over something), but even with clocks and a single pair of dice used, you are still supposed to present four die for initial die selection, upon which two are used and the other two are to be reserved in case either player asks for a dice mix between games.

This can be reasonably inferred from section 3.6 of the tournament rules written by Jeb Horton, Chuck Bower, and some guy named Simborg. ;-)

So we'll have to seek our savings elsewhere. (Most players will get some savings backs when time to tip the waitress after drinking free refills of ice tea for six hours).
