Philsophical Question

Joe: Getting a shot does not justify the take, but the momentary pleasure it brings surely is worth something.
Typically the 'getting a shot' aspect after your take helps to keep your soul in balance - mostly as you now have your 11/36 chance to effectively end the game (most of the time), and therefore justifying your take in your mind (the 30% shot) at least. So, I agree. Its a mental thing.
Personally, I would prefer to get the shot and miss it. At least then, I can blame my poor take decision on my bad luck that I missed the shot - not me for making either a poor decision or for making the correct decision.
Transferral of blame. Thats all I need.
On a related note: Tis better to remain silent and be thought the fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
