At the risk of violating the silliness standards of this august forum:

While it is generally thought that JP wrote "No Exit" after a frustrating chouette in which he was frequently stuck behind a 6 pt prime, other evidence suggests that the title, was inspired by a long chouette at les deux magots, where JP was stuck on the score sheet and thus unable to leave, while being continually taunted by the other players, including A.C., who labelled JP as "un poisson qui n'existe pas".
