Moving through the outfield

Blue's obviously short some checkers, so rolling home a 6-prime is not the plan. But making a more-or-less-priming block is still the plan. And yes as CMC says in deciding which holes to leave in the outfield coverage, jokers are a consideration.

It's not obvious what happened between the second and third positions. In the third position, Blue already has 8 checkers in the home board. Maybe Blue rolled a lot of big numbers. But it's possible that from the second position Blue should have concentrated more on making his backmost 10 checkers work together on White's side of the board instead of rushing around to fill in the 6 and 5 points. There might also have been a time between the 2nd and 3rd positions that Blue could have given up the 4 point, in order to recirculate those two checkers.
