4. Saving SGF, MAT, SWM, XGP (etc!) files, then storing them in intricate nested folder hierarchies.

There is a variant of this : export the positions as html and make your own homepages, you don't have to publish them online though, just use an offline browser. (I haven't tried this, but it should work.)
