Introducing DASH - a new notation system

I see most casual players only being able to follow this notation with a translation key close at hand. I don't see how you can say it's easier to remember than the alphabet, given that none of us are in danger of forgetting the alphabet.

It certainly doesn't seem to have as elaborate a system of rules and exceptions as Nactation, I'll grant you that. But I think the question is whether we are designing a system to allow people like ourselves to take down the moves of an ongoing game as quickly as possible, or if we are looking to invent a system that works for the masses.
