Thanks David, i certainly can relate to you comments. For me, learning to play a strong opening is absolutely essential. So many times, i find myself struggling from behind, and in the back of my mind, i know it is because i have already failed to make the best plays, just a few moves into the game. And we all know that the early play often decides the game.

I have seen a few players who are exceptionally good at recovering from a weak start, possibly due to bad dice, or possibly errors. That is another skill set.

Thanks for your input, I'll be guided by your advice.
