I can confirm that I have now had a useful dialogue with Simon and upon my return from holiday at the end of the month I will help him sort out the problems with the book. Hopefully an error-free well structured version can be produced in time for Christmas.

The review question is more complex. The system of giving away copies of books in exchange for reviews is becoming more prevalent and certainly causes problems for the likes of Amazon. The reviews can be well-intentioned but unfortunately highly inaccurate as in this case because the reviewers aren't really knowledgeable enough to actually do the reviews. There is no easy solution to this but Amazon is constantly refining its algorithms so no doubt things will be tightened up over time. Until then I accept Simon's comment that some of his friends got a little over-enthusiastic and supported the man rather than the book.
