XG 'Book' Moves - authoritative?

Thanks for the tip, Bill. It seems like a worthwhile tool, but I have my own 'home grown' system I'm using. Following Phil's suggestion about 'bunching' positions, I'm taking time to approach selected "complexes" of exchanges clustered around a particular structure and going through all 21 rolls one at a time. The plays that I'm not sure about I enter in a Filemaker Pro database I built for storing positions by Theme (3-pt holding game, 23 back game, etc.)-- I do this by taking a screen-shot of the position and another one of the rollout. So for each 'complex' I'm winding up with a focused selection of positions I want to have available for review. I created a layout for my iPad so I can open the database there and quiz myself on the positions for a particular 'complex' -- or I can select multiple categories and have them served up up in mixed, random order.
Instead of going through the openings and replies in order (I don't expect to ever cover the mall!) -- I'm trying to master familiar situations. So for the first one, I thought "How am I supposed to play 3rd rolls where my opponent rolled 66 as his reply?" So then I go through all 16 of the opening rolls to which my opponent replies with boxes, to study the 21 3rd-roll positions for each:
12 / 66 / 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23 . . . . 66 13 / 66 / 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23 . . . . 66 14 / 66 / 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23 . . . . 66 etc...
So I call that "Third-Roll Complex - Countering 66". Out of the 315 plays, I pulled 65 for reinforcement/study in my database. Now I'm working on "Third-Roll Complex - Countering 31" I'm hopeful that actually taking time to assess each position, writing comments on ones I'm not sure of, will make the lessons 'stick.'
Thanks for suggestion to turn off the Opening Book, fellas!
