I'll do the exercise he left as a reader to verify 33/7 later this week. I say slightly more than 7 for a real low wastage race because that is what the ideal 15 checker bearoff has and it is likely to reach something very close to it. Small differences from it hardly matter.

7 - 33/7 suggests to me that the adjustment should be more than the one pip that Neil suggested. And now I remember something else that I think Trice wrote. Well I don't really remember it but I remember that there is something to remember. Something about some other factor making the take slightly easier in the one checker model to balance the EPC being a little lower than a real race.
