As Mustafa pointed out, paying out cash prizes is not allowed in Turkey. Therefore, the terminology of rake does not apply in this case. You get entries and hotel nights at probably the best tournament worldwide, you meet a lot of backgammon friends, you get a lot of action for your very cheap entry fee, on top of a great city, a luxurious and very affordable tournament venue, hosts, professional equipment and staff, and a superb party. And you collect points towards the EBGT Race. If thatīs not enough, I suggest (as I did before many time to you) you run your own tournament where you offer more with no rake ! EVERYBODY who ever attended the Anniversary tournament in Istanbul found it to be absolutely great.
