I guess you only get to 6,000 EUR if the number of players is indeed 150. If it is 75, the tourney has about a 0% rake, and below that, a negative rake. And even assuming no other costs and 150 players, 6,000 EUR for how many days work?

I believe that this tourney works by offering a nice tourney in a good location, with a relatively low registration fee. The organizers then succeed in attracting a large number of players and might make a profit or good profit, but so what?

In the end, it is a question of supply and demand.
