In Response To: Requirements For Mochy's "Under 4 PR" Club in Japan (Paul Weaver)

I do like this system of recognizing PR accomplishments. And props to Mochy for once again leading backgammon in the right direction.

What I would hope to see in the near future is a database of as many recorded, live matches as possible. After a big enough sample is gathered, this would have a similar effect as the Mochy 4.0 club. Players could start to be acknowledged for outstanding PR results.

At this time, I don’t think it is necessary to choose between a system that rewards winning tournament, or an elo system, or tracking player PR. Why not do it all? We can wait until we have a significant sampling of each before arguing over how to weigh each factor.
