For both positions - I think Igor recently published one of the positions (42P-65R-33) from 501 problems or a similar one. Anyway, Making the 5 should be clear. Once you make the 5, the best use for the spares on the 6 is to make the 3. You get a strong home board and a 4 prime. So my play is simply to work on your home board.
