I agree with everything Bill said, and will add that this is an excellent tournament venue if you want to bring along a non-playing "Significant Other". Bill had at least one reception for the non-players, and of course they could join the Super Bowl party if that interested them. But more than all that, there is plenty to see and do in easy walking distance of the hotel, so they can do the tourist thing with no need to rent a car or negotiate an unfamiliar public transport system. The Alamo is literally next door, and the Riverwalk is peaceable and enjoyable. You can find lots of good places to eat right beside the water, including ones that won't cost your car payment. I highly recommend the guided boat tour, too.
