One of the first things I teach during my holding game series is the win breakdown for similar positions. All contact and no race. Here are some examples I use.

Assuming you know your take point is around 8% there would be no question this is a take. This position is slightly better for the person taking because even though the race is very very unlikely, it can happen, unlike my examples. Also as the doubler we're already stripped on the 8pt so less time to roll doubles to clear that point and the inner board spares are pushed a bit.

Generally we have to be very near the cash point to send over large AtS recubes.

I disagree with most of what Ray said.
