I'd like to submit a +1 on AP's idea 1 of creating different personalities with different tendencies to play against. I would really enjoy this. In addition to his specific examples perhaps we could add %s to various parameters in the neural net function. We could create profiles and learn how best to play against certain weaknesses. Or XG could create a profile at random and we can have the challenge of trying to identify the weaknesses and exploiting them. Another application of this idea is to have a longer move delay the more complex the position is, as human opponents take more time on complex positions.
