HI Alex, I have compared table 9 where you talk about the Chabot method but your discussion talks about dividing by 8. Chabot talks about the "Chabot method" which divides by 8 which he says is 63% accurate and the "Optimal Method" which he claims is near 100% as it is the reference position. The "Optimal method" involves memorising 3 tables (though he calls it 1 table) and he states that is the better method if you can memorise the table.

So before I learn the "Optimal method" tables - how do they (not Chabot's formula) compare to your method?
