Improved Cube Handling in Races

That is due to a different effect than what my paper focused on. Checkers on the ace often mean less cube power in a short ending but a gap on the ace with checkers on the deuce often mean greater cube power.
In 102100 vs 102100 the trailer is unlikely to get an effective cube. If he is on shake with 2 checkers left he will probably either be 101000 where the cube doesn't add much equity or at 002000 where he is not good enough to double.
Contrast that with 021100 vs 021100 where the cube would usually be coming from 020000 or 011000.
