The problem I have with the comparisons people do (and I do appreciate the hard work) is that when they compare to the Kleinmann count, they compare to the original Kleinman count not the one that has the Art Benjamin adjustments. This can be found at http://www.math.hmc.edu/~benjamin/papers/BackgammonRacing.pdf When reading the Metric article and going through the examples, the author used the original Kleinmann count and said his method was more accurate and it was. But the Art Benjamin Kleinmann count was more accurate in all the examples he gave. I apply the Keith count adjustments to the base position then use the Art Benjamin Kleinmann count. If you can memorise the table for every % from 55 to 97 the rest becomes really easy.
