In Response To: Improved Cube Handling in Races (Axel Reichert)

Axel, your paper claims that an average error in EPC estimation by Matussek's formula is 1.70, while Matussek's paper claims it's 0.48. Matussek explicitly states that the formula was designed to be used with positions containing at most 8 checkers. Did you put this restriction for your test of Matussek's formula or did you apply it to the entire database thus including positions it was not designed to be used for apriory? If the latter, then you should state so explicitly in your paper.
