Improved Cube Handling in Races

Hi Timothy,
> 27 billion possibilities doesn't sound like that many to me.
It is. I would guess that the genetic algorithm I used to sample this design space covered maybe 100000 of them at most. Now if I was to extend my search to the complete design space (i.e., by a factor of 270000), I have to reduce the database of position by the same factor, with only about a quarter of a position left ...
This will not do, especially not since every run (no matter how small the database) involves some fixed overhead (file handling etc.).
However, perhaps you will get some more confidence into the approach I chose by being assured that I used (and re-ran with random initialization) SEVERAL genetic algorithms. Every time they narrowed in on the same region that I later covered completely by a full DOE. So I am quite optimistic that Isight did not miss the global optimum here.
Best regards
Axel
