I must say this evidence does make a compelling case that finding a simple formula for these types of positions may not be possible.

The example of 102100 vs 102100 compared to 021100 vs 021100 is demoralizing. Same pip count, Mean # rolls to bear off is almost the same, Distribution of rolls to bear off is almost the same, Win % is almost the same...yet the difference in equity of D/T equity is over .15.
