I think you should have stressed more that the database you tested on hardly has any races longer than 70 pips.

I think it is also worth repeating that this also applies to the original Keith count, and is why the KC doubling window is so narrow (3 pip, and 2 pip for redoubles). For longer races the doubling window should be adjusted, as mentioned here
