Blue's 22 play before the ho-hum 61

In Response To: Blue's 22 play before the ho-hum 61 (Nack Ballard)

In GnuBg, I put all 241 legal moves in the original position through a 2-ply eval, the top 30 through 3-ply, and the top 16 through a 5-ply truncated rollout that simulates XGR++. The top 7 are displayed below. Like XG, GnuBg wants to switch to the 2pt.

I have seen GnuBg make some strange board-breaking moves while bearing in against minimal contact. The second rollout below gives an example.

Annotation

Here is another one of those silly bear-in mistakes. Something like 13/5 or 13/7 8/6 looks right to me, but those moves did not make it beyond the 0-ply stage.

I had GnuBg set to play in Grandmaster mode.
