ruling on premature cubing

5.4 CUBE HANDLING. A player may double when it is his turn only before rolling the dice, but not after rolling cocked dice.

Unfortunately this rule appears not to address the given situation since it is a player's turn only after the opponent completes his move, either by picking up the dice or clocking.

While there are rules that clearly address premature rolls, this one doesn't cover the given premature double except to void it since it is not the doubling player's turn.
