Backgammon player arrested for murdering wife

I don't know all the details about the case, and I don't know if he is guilty or innocent, but from what I've read much of the evidence is circumstantial. I'm sure we all have anecdotal stories about circumstantial evidence. Here's mine, and why I would be a very poor jury choice for any prosecutor in a circumstantial evidence case.
In the early 80s, I had one of those huge Motorola "brick phones". I went to dinner in San Francisco's North Beach when it was a bit sleazy. Because the phone was so bug, I left it tucked it under my car seat.
On my return, as I approached my car, here is exactly what I saw: No driver-side car window. Broken glass on the sidewalk. Three teens, one talking on a Motorola brick phone. The phone was around $2,500 thirty-some years ago, so I'd never seen a teen with one.
As I readied for a confrontation, I noticed that the glass on the sidewalk was from a Coke bottle. My window wasn't there because I'd left it rolled down -- the only time before or since I've done that IIRC. And my brick phone was where I'd left it; the teen had his own. Luckily, I noticed this before accusing anyone.
I hope the murderer, whoever it is, is brought to justice. And I hope it's with non-circumstantial evidence.
