Backgammon player arrested for murdering wife

I have never been a criminal or had any criminal charges in my life.
I have had civil allegations by the FTC pinned on me many many years ago which I successfully defended over a 10 year course.
The key word here is "defended" , was I guilty? No. Did I lose any property? Was I fined? Yes $5000 once. Did it end well? Sure. I successfully defended my presumed innocent ass for the tune of about $5,000,000 in legal fees.
I was hung out to dry by the FTC, couldn't get bank account without a "Warren commission" style investigation by any bank. All the while I was not presumed guilty. Only treated as such.
I never got a refund of my $5,000,000 either. I got a letter that said the matter was resolved-at the present time.
So my point is 'presumption' means absolutely nothing in actual practice.
What happens to a presumed innocent man with no defense?
Last post on this topic, it amazes me how many brilliant people are misguided by this play on words.
