Me neither!

I did have an additional idea regarding pay-now.

When the opponent owns the cube, and you pay now, he will not be able to double on the come. If you pay later, however, many variations will have you leaving a single shot in the outfield downstream. When that occurs, your opponent may well have a very efficient cube. By paying now, you take that opportunity away.

I still do not know how relevant this line of reasoning is, but I do like the idea.
