pay now looks right with her position strengthening. The choice is between 9 or 2. the former leaves the fewest shots, the later makes the strongest board. with the blot, the gammon danger looms for her and some of the rolls that could hit, are best not to hit. the clean up after 9 is easier, but likely not enough to make a large difference. some of the hits after 9 are stronger than after 2 - our stronger board and even if covered, there will be indirect winning shots. the cube probably only comes in to cash out the games, but with jacoby it has already done most of its damage.
