Questions on Box cubes

Madison runs perhaps an odd set up, in that we do have formalized rules, but they arent often obeyed.
At least half (or just over for odd counts) must be taken. If only half are sent, there are no restrictions on takes or drops.
Box must defeat the captain, and at least break even to maintain box. (although I cant recall if its show a profit or not).
In order to prevent targeting, I like to enforce the order. You cube from the top down, and take from the top down. So, if 3 out of 5 are sent, and the box only wants to take 2 of those, then box must take the top 2 from the order that they were sent in.
Amusingly, the primary players who dont like the rule to prevent targeting, happen to be the most likely to be targeted. No names. But, I'm not one of them, I am sure, much to the disappointment of my beloved backgammon readers.
For partner situations, the partner will rotate out, and will always come from the bottom of the playing order. So, if box loses, and someone new joins at the same time, the losing box will move higher in the order than new player, and the new player will be offered the opportunity to become partner. If that game results in the box winning, the old captain (who just dropped to the bottom in the order) will be offered the opportunity to be partner first.
Naturally, it is good etiquette to accept, but not enforced. Equally, box does not have to ask for a partner.
