Poll: Do you like green eggs and ham?

Understood. I am not questioning their venerable judgment.

A new survey, similar to that described above might just be a way to convince as many players as possible to give it a try *before* forming an opinion (which is surely desirable?)

I am of the opinion that if anybody was able to state the 4 key metrics mentioned above (based on 2 simple YES/NO questions), it could go a long way to making a cohesive resolution closer.

I believe that these metrics, if readily available, would impartially and scientifically support the case for change. Or indeed, the case for no change. Particularly the measurement of how people's opinions change after trying out the new rule.

FWIW I have never played with this new rule, but it sounds good in principle. I hope to trial it in my club soon.
