I think the field is nine players, not eight

This is such a one sided bet that Phil is offering to take the bad side of that I am thinking maybe I am misunderstanding something.

Is it the case that each of those 12 players will have 12 matches (two 7 pointers, four DMPers, one at 2a - 4a start, one at 4a - 2a start, one at 3a - 6a start, one at 6a - 3a start, and two speedgammon) and then total wins are counted of those 12 matches (so DMP counts same as 7 pointer for example)?
