Do you mean there will be some advantage beyond selecting the pairings?

Assuming I'm understanding it correctly, the 'advantage' of selecting the pairings is near worthless. Every team has to have a captain on it as I read it so deciding who gets to tag along with the best players in the world isn't worth much.

A point advantage in a 15 point match is worth about 4%. It sure seems like an awful lot of work for that to be the only potential reward.
