I know there are players like me who used GnuBG before they purchased XG and find XG less intuitive than GnuBG, so I think it's not fair to say that GnuBg is inferior in that field.

I second that motion. I'm slowly getting more comfortable with XG, but I'm much more comfortable with GNUBG. Also, for the purposes of entering a recorded match, GNUBG is FAR better, hands down. It's trivial to go back and fix a mistake in GNUBG. In XG, I don't even think it's possible (if somebody knows, please tell me).
