Jake's History of Young Giants

I was born July 24, 1957 (not 1956, thank you) and probably became Giant-equivalent around April(?), 1976 (at 18 years, 9 months), though I realize it's quite subjective. Roger Low and Jason Lester must have been close. I thought Erik Seidel was youngest, though it sounds like Howard Ring might have been.
Sergey Karjakin was chess grandmaster at 12 yrs, 7 mos. It's only a matter of time before it happens in backgammon.
