Yes, in general what you say is correct. But there are always exceptions.

Had Stick come out and said "Player A is a known dice cheater - I've been told by 5 people I trust that they've personally witnessed it, but are afraid to speak out because Player A has mob connections and has made threats against them." would we be arguing that the cheater should not have been outed? Sometimes the greater good must take priority.

I know and trust Stick well enough to believe that he is convinced of this beyond a reasonable doubt and has no hidden agenda and would not have come forward otherwise. I also believe that his hands are tied as to presenting what he knows. The only FACT that we have is that Stick is certain of what he says. Nobody can be convicted in court based on this evidence. But this is not a court and nobody is going to jail. This is a community.
