I'm Convinced

The arguments made against the Jacoby Rule by my esteemed colleagues on this threat have convinced me. Jacoby is not only a bad idea for match play, it isn't really necessary or helpful for money play except to speed up the game and stop 1 pointers from being played out to the end. Actually, I think if we eliminated Jacoby from money play the game might be even more complex and interesting, as many players would make the mistake of playing on when they shouldn't or doubling when they are too good if there were no Jacoby rule. Anything that makes the game more complicated and complex is to me, by definition, more challenging and interesting. Isn't that why we play this game?
