I looked at 100 of my 7 point matches from dailygammon. 2 away 2 away was reached in 13 of them. There is a wide range of playing abilities on DG and if we matched two roughly equal players the percentage is likely to be slightly higher.

I wasn't counting carefully but in almost half of the matches that game was ended with a cash. Some to seem to think that the merit of a proposed rule change mainly depends on how much more they can extract from weaker players so they might want to take into account that the rule change means no cube errors.
