2 away 2 away Score -- Idea

One of the problems with match play in tournaments is that you don't know how long the match is going to take. A seven-point match could be over in a single game or it could take ten games. This makes it hard to schedule the tournament.
A match that has reached 2-away 2-away has likely already gone on quite long. Killing the cube at that point, could potentially add two full (cubeless) games after the 2-away 2-away game. So, suppose the tournament organizer's practical choice was:
- Option 1: Play a 7-point match each round and kill the cube at 1 at 2-away 2-away, as Rick proposes.
- Option 2: Play a 9-point match each round and start any 2-away 2-away game with the cube at 2 (making sure it's the last game).
In that case, I prefer Option 2.
