Conso optional

Some players are lukewarm about reaching the conso. So why not make that optional and reduce the entry fee accordingly?

A few top players may be more enticed to play, knowing they don't have to bother with conso or pay for something they plan to avoid. And some lesser players might appreciate the value pricing. It would give players more choice in designing their weekend. Maybe they'd rather play blitzes or re-entry the main. Or maybe they'd rather take an earlier flight if they drop out of the main.

It would also make tournaments flow better. The payout could be structured so as not to affect any of the prizes in the main.

No doubt there are some downsides. For example, I haven't thought through the Calcutta ramifications.
