Conso optional

0-1 is undesirable, perhaps. But it would work, in the sense of being able to complete the drawsheet.

The possibility doesn't concern me for two reasons. First, there is no loss of equity to anyone. Second, it would rarely if ever occur because it would require both a somewhat specific random draw as well as a sufficient number of players choosing the option.

As to the LC, that would be a good thing. For one thing, a lower fee would help attract new players. In addition, where is the fairness in someone paying for an event they can't participate in?

Now the ABT points are interesting. If LC were optional, then it really just becomes two tournaments, so ABT points should be straightforward. Indeed, more straightforward and fair than it is now, given the restrictions on cashers.
