You're getting a 30% bonus. Easy to see for two cards: $130 for $100

> (b) Purchase a $100 gift card for $75.

You get a $25 bonus on $75 spend, or 25/75 = 33+ %

Since 33% is better than 30%, all else being equal, (b) is the better deal.
