As well as the need for 3-high stacks, there are some people who pile them higher. Obviously this is a question of mechanics, however, surely any chip that would recognize a 2 high stack should also be able to recognize a 3 high stack.

Also, checkers sometimes are stacked indirectly - meaning that they are not directly above a lower checker - in a brick like layout.

Once the checker stacking problem is solved, then surely software - no matter how complex should be able to handle everything else.

I would welcome a reasonably priced board that could handle this. Although, I do think the aesthetics of the board are important too - it has to look and play nice doesnt it?
