Which part can't you believe, that people are saying it can't be done, or it can't be done?

Yes, I couldn't belive that people said it cannot be done. I am very sure that it can be done. There are many things done which are in my opinion way harder: Autonomous cars‎, face recognition, image categorization, etc. The question is in my eyes not whether it can be done, but whether I can do it (in the given time).

Of course, it won't be perfect. As can be seen in my overview, I expect to have one user interaction per 200 moves. I.e., every 200th move the user is asked to assist the software. Of course, we are speaking of good quality films here. That means that the films are so good that a human could transcribe the match without having played it or watched it live. If the quality is too bad, it won't work.
